CLAYTON HOUSE PARKING

Guidance for anyone who wishes to travel to Clayton House by car.
(Costs correct at January 2011)

There is no car parking available at Clayton House. The building fronts onto Piccadilly which is a main through route. You can drop off or collect a visitor in front of the building but parking restrictions are rigorously enforced.

Street Parking
There are Parking Meters in the vicinity of Newton St, Dale St, Ducie St, Tariff St and many of the smaller streets adjoining these. These are all a short distance from Clayton House. You can park on the meters in these streets for a maximum of 3 hours. Charges start at 30p for the first 15 minutes rising to £3.30 for the 3 hours maximum.

Car Parks
There is longer term parking, approximately 5 minutes walk from Clayton House in the Dale Street Car Park at £6 per day but only £4 if you arrive after 1.00pm.and it is also £4 for Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays Pay on entry. This Car Park is likely to be full if you arrive after 9.30am weekdays.

Another option is the Town Centre Car Park on Tariff St, this is currently £5.50 for 4 Hrs or £7 for 8 Hrs

There are many other options which are not so convenient.

Park-and-Ride
Visitors from north or south of the centre, or from the Eccles area may wish to consider parking near to one of the Metrolink stations and taking a Metrolink tram to Market Street or Piccadilly Gardens station. Reduced price Metrolink return fares are available from 9.30am onwards and all day at weekends.
